Day Light Songs (biting the air), 2021

The Tower harboured two dark, closed-off stairways - designed as fire escapes. The client recognized their untapped potential and commissioned an artistic intervention that would bring light and colour inside. The artist’s three large, highly textured glasswork windows, multi-layered and distinctive from opposite sides, were precisely mounted in custom-designed, milled aluminum frames. Complying with the highest fire and safety standards, the stairways still function as fire escapes.
